I am making headway on Sea Witch, and I hope to have a review up by the end of the month. I think I would be reading faster if I hadn’t succumbed to the word-of-mouth insanity that is 50 Shades of Grey…this book is definitely not written in a sophisticated manner and not even what I would consider “erotica” (Merriam Webster definition: literary or artistic works having an erotic theme or quality) because of its lack of complexity and nuance, not to mention the annoyingly contemporary language usage. I wouldn’t have accepted it for this blog had it been offered (even though it’s not historical fiction)….however, it reads quickly, easily, and addictively. Darn it.

It’s definitely not everyone’s cup of tea, for certain. There’s been so much hype surrounding this book–as well as The Hunger Games–I had to close my eyes and chose just one and read it FAST! I’m enjoying the pirate romp, though…
